Biography

The Los Angeles-based experimental jazz trio subthunk formed in 1998 with Antony Neely (programming/guitar), Alex U'Ren (Fxsharp) and Joe Nugent (drums). Together with an Apple iBook, subthunk created an eclectic jazz funk that's been hailed as a "funky ass space groove." Their debut album, Project B appeared in 2001; A year later, subthunk released the magnificent, solid second album Just A Few Notes Before You Go.
