Biography
The Break and Repair Method is a side project for Matchbox Twenty drummer and then guitarist Paul Doucette, who, although he may not quite have the vocal range of Matchbox lead singer Rob Thomas, has an amazingly effective and endearing singing voice, and his songs, at their best, sound like the Beatles just met a power pop version of Randy Newman. Doucette began recording his own material while on a break from Matchbox Twenty, using a host of musicians, including Tracy Bonham, Moon Zappa (Doucette's wife), and Matchbox's Matt Beck, and after a couple of label deals failed to deliver, he ended up with a fully realized (and very impressive) album on his hands. Called Milk the Bee, the album was released in 2008 by Bluhammock Records.
