British actor/singer Tim Curry first gained international recognition for his portrayal of the campy mad scientist, Frank N. Furter, in the U.K. musical The Rocky Horror Show and its film version, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This led him to a contract with A&M Records. He has appeared in other films and on television, and (in 1981) he played Mozart in the play Amadeus on Broadway.
