About Wil Seabrook

With his mix of thought-provoking messages and melody, singer/songwriter Wil Seabrook points to his time growing up in Europe as the cornerstone to his egalitarian views on life and music. The North Carolina native moved with his parents to Germany at age nine and traveled variously in China, Thailand, and New Zealand. Eventually returning to the United States, the Seabrook family settled in Boston, where Wil's burgeoning musical interests culminated in recording an album for a senior high school project. The work caught the ear of producer John Ryan -- an encouraging sign for the young Seabrook, who began to work seriously on his craft. In 2000, Seabrook released his debut self-titled album on his own Chicago Kid label and began to receive international attention. A subsequent tour of England with the Pretenders' guitarist Robbie McIntosh eventually led to a record deal with Maverick/WB. Released under the moniker of the Wil Seabrook Band, the sophomore effort It's Your Life and They're Living It for You bowed in 2003. ~ Matt Collar
