Biography
Speared on by mentors in the Vancouver, British Columbia band Moist, Yve Adam founded Mollies Revenge at the end of 1994. In January 1995, about three weeks after their initial rehearsal, the band opened for Moist (in front of a crowd of 3,000 people), which would be an intimidating first gig for nearly any band. But the group managed to survive the show and went on to become one of Vancouver's most popular club acts. They also toured Canada three times with Moist, playing for crowds as large as 5,000. In 1997, the band released their debut album, Every Dirty Word. The following year they broke up and after some downtime, Yve and fellow bandmate Adam decided to continue as a twosome. Their American breakthrough was the appearance of their song "Don't" on the soundtrack for the motion picture Message in a Bottle. Their full-length debut came on 143/Atlantic Records in 2000 with their album Fiction.
