Publisher Description
Timestamp. New York City, the early 1990s.
Scott and Larry have been best friends since high school when they would go to hardcore matinee’s at CBGB’s on Sunday afternoons. They attended college together, did Teach for America in Compton together and then moved back to New York City and lived in a small apartment in the East Village together. They were inseparable. That is, until Sonja fell into their lives. And things would never be the same.
Michael Kirkbride’s debut novel is a bittersweet look at what life is like when you’re 25, when the future is unwritten, anything is possible, and hanging out with a great girl is absolute perfection.

Spot-on
For people who lived in the East Village in the early to mid 90's this is spot on. For those who didn't, it's a fantastic read to get a feeling of what it was like to start out with the EV as a base. It's was a real transitional time for the area and for most of the people living there as well.
With characters you can relate to you'll find yourself reminiscing and reliving your life as it was back then or if you didn't happen to be around, you'll be inserting yourself into one of those characters.
Pick it up. Relate.
