Publisher Description

It is the spring of 1990. A young American family boards a ferry, traversing the vast Aegean blue into the Greek archipelago in pursuit of four months of sun, sea and adventure ... but just as they begin to settle on an idyllic whitewashed island Eleni, Harry and 12 year old Lily come face to face with the loud, scruffy stray who shatters their peace - and their plans. Of course, tender Lily is drawn to the little dog, boldly protecting her three young pups, and in the wake of their first meeting trust begins to take the place of fear. Life for the animals of the island's streets begins to change.

Praise for All The Little Graces!

Eleanore MacDonald’s book ‘All The Little Graces’ was a beautiful testament not only to the people and beauty of Greece itself, but to reaching across cultural lines to find the common compassion that is in & connects all of us- humans or animals. An amazing book to read to find yourself wandering the streets of Greece, delighting in it’s food and energy, while also immersing yourself with the family of Eleni,Harry & Lily as they teach us all what it truly means to spread the love.

Great read!! Highly recommend!

‘All The Little Graces’, by Eleanore MacDonald is a wonderful book that whisks you away to a small Greek island while following the story of an artistic American family and their little red-headed girl with an affinity for animals. This book is enjoyable to read, not only with it’s descriptive and poetic style of writing, painting beautiful images of the quaint and picturesque Greek island, but with the heartwarming story (sometimes tragic and sometimes humorous) of a little stray dog that touches their lives and draws in the gap between different cultural views on the ways animals are treated. The story and setting capture you from the start and anyone with a love for animals or drawn to travel will enjoy this read. I highly recommend it!
