Publisher Description
The Audio Optimization Guide For Apple OS X - Mountain Lion is the third publication in the Computer Audio Series made available through Ultra Fi. Generally, this Guide deals with the subject of modifying the default configuration of OS X - Mountain Lion, using the applications and programs found therein, to improve the sonic attributes of your Mac. More specifically, this Guide details the usage of the Terminal, System Preferences, and Disk Utility applications to remove other unnecessary applications and/or programs and their related data from system memory to improve the sound of music files playback using your Mac.
To realize the best sound available from your Mac, you simply must engage in this process. For the better part of a decade, in every single instance, time and again, this has proven to be the case. At this point, it’s unequivocal; the good news is — it’s practically free.

Invaluable Modifications for Maximizing Sound Quality!
The modifications required for maximizing sound output from Macs with Mountain Lion differ from Lion and they all matter contributing to a larger collective sound improvement.
The author, Larry Moore, applied the rigorous testing habits of his 30-years with Bell Labs and subsequent career designing his leading line of Ultra-Fi DACs to test the sound outcome of each system modification and we are fortunate to be able to buy the result of all that testing. The sound of the music from my audio system has markedly improved since I made the modifications to my Mac Mini last night and I strongly recommend the small investment to everybody who cares about the quality of their sound.
