When a designer of computer games dies, he leaves behind a program that unravels the Internet's interconnected world. It corrupts, kills, and runs independent of human control. Customer Reviews

This is book ONE of a two book series!

Excellent book!! The target audience for this is definitely gamers, computer programmers, and techies but anyone who likes a fast paced action thriller will enjoy this.

Please keep in mind that this is a two book series. After you finish reading Daemon, go pick up Freedom-TM for the conclusion!

Outstanding Potential...Awful Follow-Through

The Good: The plot has an excellent premise, the background elements and description are solid, and the technical references and concepts are both accurate and intriguing. There are enough subplots and intertwined events to make it a real page-turner. And, most gratifyingly, unlike many novels over the past decade, both the character development and dialog are strong and believable. I was really drawn into the story.

The Bad: The book is only 80 percent complete! At the end of the book there are so many unanswered questions, loose threads and dangling subplots that you're left gasping for a sequel---or at least a two paragraph epilogue. It's like the writer reached the last chapter and decided that he'd done enough to get it published so he gave it a limp, half-hearted last minute wrap-up. I almost wish that the whole book had been poorly written so that I wasn't left so empty handed at the end.

Daemon is worth reading, so long as you keep your expectations low as you move through it. You WILL be left unfulfilled.

Fantastic book

I loved it and am looking forward to the sequel - purchasing it now!

And I am in no way a bot written to compose good reviews for this book.
