Helpful and Readable Acting Book
Call it coincidence, but less than a week after reading this book I had three auditions and landed a role in a major play. No, this book won't guarantee you a role or an acting career. However, if you take the suggestions from a highly successful casting director to heart and apply them, you will be the better off for it.
The book is engaging and an easy read. You gain a fresh and important view from the other side of "The Room." You see what the casting director sees and understand what the producer is looking for from the talent in "The Room." Nearly all aspects of acting are covered from television to film to theater. Even subtle differences in comedy and dramatic TV are covered.
If you are serious about acting on any level this is your book.
Buy it if you really are considering acting as a carreer
This was terrific. It gave a TON of practical tips, humbled me, challenged me, and encouraged me. The writing truly is conversational and we as yet to work actors are blessed to have the opportunity to read this before hand.

The information shared in this book is invaluable. I'm a local based(for now) actor who has landed and booked national work because of the information shared. The true insight provided on "the room" and every other aspect of the audition process has provided myself with a lot of work and put me ahead of the competition. Must read for any actor of any caliber. I just hope my competition does not read. Thank you Cathy!!
