When the dedicated young surgeon, Dr. Grace Lord, comes to the Nelson Mandela Medical Space Station to study under the galaxy-renowned Dr. Hiro Al-Fadi, little does she know that her life would be in danger from her first step on the station. Encountering enormous, animal-adapted combat soldiers of the Conglomerate, who are suffering from battle trauma and biological warfare injury, she must treat the wounded while fighting to stay alive. When a mysterious vessel docks at the medical station with no crew and only a suspicious collection of oily puddles, it becomes a race against time for Grace and the other survivors on the space station to find a cure for the deadliest threat to organic life in the galaxy, before the station is destroyed.
