Professor PodPi is everything you needed to know to start programming with Arduino.
To ease the fear of a newcomer, the book employs adventure, maps and graphic novels beloved by kids of all ages.
With a little bit of humor and sibling rivalry, this volume introduces programming vocabulary, hardware components and software. The programming instructions are very specific, which reduces the frustration of making mistakes. There are detailed installation instructions for PC, Mac and Chrome; page devoted to color coding resistors, and a common mistakes guide for quick reference.
Overall - this is a great beginners guide into programming for kids.

Great way to introduce kids to electronics and programming

Clear, simple instructions. Engaging. What a great way to spark an interest. After he worked through the supplied exercises my son was full of "what ifs" and "I wonder if I could". And he then proceeded to try new stuff out.

An fun and amazing learning tool

We first saw the hard copy of these publications at the Maker’s Faire last year and were impressed by their learning program and the way they send out Arduino kits and componets to match the build mission in each volume Our children love comics and the way these books are written, it makes for a super fun and exciting adventure and we find that our children learn so much more, so much faster that when we just explain the steps or logic behind building something with the Arduino. With PodPi they feel like they are inside the book, living the adventure with the characters and helping them solve the problems and complete their missions and builds. We are glad to see an iBook format come out and look forward to more fun and learning in upcoming volumes.
