    Confidence-building!

I'm admittedly quite impatient with software, especially for photo processing. But after reading this book, I feel confident that I know how to make the adjustments I want to make. Not having to hunt around to figure things out, almost certainly with non-optimal results, is fantastic. The text tells you everything you need to know to get the effects you want on your photos, and the videos really help drive home the important principles and keep them fresh in your mind. Perhaps most importantly, the book works very well technically, so you're never frustrated with using it. As a bonus, the photos used for the examples in the book are gorgeous!

Extremely high quality, and more helpful than I could have hoped

This is among the most thorough and well-presented epublications I have seen (and I read a lot of them!). The language is clear, the screenshots are excellently illustrative, and you're able to enlarge the images and swipe through multi-part figures intuitively. I've rarely found embedded video tutorials helpful, but the ones in this book are, without a doubt. Unlike most online video tutorials, these are very professionally produced. The authors do a great job in the video narration, expertly explaining what could otherwise be confusing or hard-to-decipher features. Before I read this book and watched the tutorials, I didn't know the depth of what iPhoto for iOS could do, but now I find that I use it just as much as—or maybe more than—my desktop photo-processing app.

Great example of what ebooks can be!

iPhoto for iOS has a number of features that aren't immediately obvious, and while you can discover many of its capabilities by playing with the software or using the useful onscreen help system, if you want to really master all the functionality of iPhoto this book is the best way to do so. The writing is clear with good examples, there are plenty of photos and the videos are used in a way that adds to the learning and understanding rather than being thrown in just because they could be.

A good ebook shouldn't just be an electronic version of a paper book - this title takes full advantage of what the medium can offer with interactivity that adds to the learning. The layout is clean, the images are beautiful. On my iPad with Retina display, it's a joy to read.

Whether you're just starting out with iPhoto on your iPad or iPhone, or you've been using it for a while, iPhoto for iOS by Ellen and Josh Anon is a great way to learn more about this photo editing tool. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in iPhoto on their iOS device.
