In her second crime novel written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, J. K. Rowling demonstrates her gift for capturing small details and drawing you head over heels into her stories. After solving supermodel Lula Landry’s murder in The Cuckoo’s Calling, private investigator Cormoran Strike has become a minor celebrity, hired by the rich and entitled to do their dirty work. But when a harried woman enlists the gargantuan detective to find her missing husband—a famously nasty novelist—Strike and his assistant Robin are pulled into a case with substance: a murder in which the suspects are all members of the literary elite. Kudos to Rowling for finding such an entertaining way to ruminate on her personal experiences with the dark side of fame. The Silkworm is a superb detective novel that balances grit, mystery, and action with engrossing details about Strike’s biography and the growing chemistry between Galbraith’s unlikely—and immensely likable—crime-solving partners.

Can't Wait
After reading "Cuckoo's Calling", I was hoping J.K. Rowling would continue writing more in this series. I'm so happy she decided to do so, even after it was revealed that she was indeed the author.....have read the 2 novels she's written for the adult market after Harry Potter. Have not been disappointed one bit.
