Publisher Description

L.E. Modesitt, Jr.'s The Towers of the Sunset continues his bestselling fantasy series the Saga of Recluce, which is one the most popular in contemporary epic fantasy.

Rather than accepting a marriage arranged by his mother, the powerful military matriarch of Westwind, Creslin chooses exile, setting out to find his own identity and developing his magical talents through conflict with the enigmatic white wizards of Candar.

What Creslin doesn't know he stands in the way of their plot to subjugate the world.

Great book

Beautiful read but unfortunately there are still some typos.

I enjoyed the first book, but wasn’t the same

I enjoyed the Magic of Recluce and was hoping for something similar. The first part of the book was similar to MoR with interesting twists, and I enjoyed that the most. Modesitt’s writing is unique in its tone of solitude and getting the reader to be thoughtful in lieu of direct explanation of some concepts and subplots- but the way these two aspects of writing played out in the second half of the book made it flat and a bit onerous to finish. There were no surprising plot twists, and it lacked the originality of the first part- it was the slow, inexorable conclusion of the trajectory from... I guess halfway through the book. I’ll read the next one, but won’t go much farther if it’s similar to this book.

Interesting read..

I enjoyed the book except for the misspelling and grammatical errors... Wondering if they even checked this for errors before selling..
