“One of today’s leading lights in romantic fiction.”
—Seattle Times
USA Today and New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas is one of America’s most acclaimed and popular authors of historical romance fiction—and Stranger in My Arms is one of her most beloved novels! A classic tale of a noble lady whose life is upended when her despised husband—believed lost at sea—returns, a remarkably altered, more passionate and loving man…if he is, indeed, who he claims to be. A two-time RITA Award-winner—and a nine-time nominee—Lisa Kleypas is at her sensuous best with Stranger in My Arms.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Lara, Lady Hawksworth, is sure her husband died in a shipwreck off the south Indian coast, but three years later someone answering to the name of Hunter, Lord Hawksworth, reappears. He's accepted by everyone save his uncle, who'd claimed the earldom in his absence, and Lara, who had hated being married to him. How Hunter wins Lara with his exquisite lovemaking and becomes a better husband than the man who left her is the heart of this sweetly sensual, character-driven Regency historical. Kleypas (Because You're Mine) doesn't give a lot of description so the prose sometimes clunks when she shoehorns facts (e.g., Lara's contemplation of a particularly popular shade of house paint) into her narrative and some phrases jar ("this springy, lean animality"). But for the most part her prose flows well, her dialogue is thankfully natural and she's again shown herself to be a cut above most in this popular genre.

Little rough patch....
A very entertaining story- quite romantic for the most part. My only complaint was when the heroine did something that seemed pretty out of place for a woman in love. Seemed a little rough in that area. Good read otherwise.
I feel bad saying this but this book is horrible!!!!
Lisa Kleypas you maybe my favorite historical romance writer I loved loved the wallflower series, hathaway series, and even all the other books until I stumbled into this one. The mistriss was right no man in their right mind would love an idiot like the main character. I don’t care how nice she is she is mean to those who are nice and nice to those who are mean I have never disliked a character more so than her! I couldn’t finish it was so disappointing which never happens!
Not bad
I have read better novels by Lisa kleypas than this one. I didn't feel the love story. It is more of erotic story. But I won't stop reading kleypas. She is one of the n
Best writers despite this book
