Before the shooting, Kaylene left a note addressed to her Wall Street executive brother, Reid Billings, asking him to seek custody of her daughters with the help of her attorney, Emilie, should anything happen to her. Emilie, who knows Kaylene would never have harmed her girls, and Reid join forces in their common desire to understand what happened and to protect comatose Kinley. Their task is complicated by a stalker pursuing Emilie and her boss's insistence that she leave the Adams case alone, as well as Robert's refusal to let Reid visit Kinley in the hospital. The hopeful ending will satisfy fans of romantic suspense.

IMPERFECT JUSTICE by Cara Putman # 2 in "Hidden Justice"
Kaylene, needed this appearance before the judge, she had been working toward it, a step to get her life back. She wanted this for her and the two girls. Husband had other ideas, drastic ones.even in death he is punishing her, or was she guilty. Her brother was unaware of the home life. Emilie is taking it personal were did she go wrong, in giving her the correct help to get that restraining order. Is there a clue, a piece of evidence what really happened in that house of a family of four. There was a survivor, could she testify. Another thriller by Cara, that has you trying to grasp how a father, could be so twisted. It will haunt you and make you want to read this in a setting. Readers will not be disappointed, in another good story from Cara .Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and honest opinion.I

Great story! Good mystery.
Wow! Couldn't put it down.
Wow! This is one of those stories that you probably won't want to start unless you are where you can finish it without putting it down. This is the second book in the Hidden Justice series, but can be read as a stand alone. I do recommend reading the first books in the series not only to get further background on the characters but also because it is a good one also. This author certainly knows how to combine intriguing characters, romance, legal suspense and action and write a story that had me hooked from the first pages. The title of the book certainly captures the them of the story. I certainly will be looking forward to the next book in the series. I was given a copy of the book by the author, but a positive review was not required. The opinions expressed are my own. Toe the reader who enjoys good legal suspense, this is a definitely a book you will want to read.
