Her research leads her to a promising suspect, but her desire to solve the case on her own places her life in jeopardy. Pike (The Cold One) deftly interweaves this plot with the elaborate, Edmund Dantes like revenge scheme of Matt Connor, a California man who was himself betrayed by the woman he loved. While some of the action sequences involving Kelly strain credibility, the intricate, thoughtful plot offers enough fresh variations on the serial-killer theme to keep readers turning the pages.

Better than you can imagine
I've been a Christopher Pike fan for decades. I first read the 'Last Vampire' and fell in love with it. Then 'Gimme a Kiss', 'Whisper of Death', 'Witch', 'Die Softly', 'Remember Me'. All are incredible, wonderful books. The story line of 'Falling' is indescribable. I have read it several times and it blows me away every time I re-read it. I love this book. There are so many layers. It leaves me speechless and keeps my thinking about it long after I've finished. Thank you Kevin, I am so glad you exist and share your brilliant mind with us.

Couldn’t put it down and the feeling sat with me for days. Very fun read.
Falling and I can't get up
Interesting premise, but lacked any cohesive thought process. Very disappointing. The characters were unformed and throughly unlikeable. You couldn't tell the villains from the heroes. I can't recommend this book.
