Publisher Description
The world order is being hacked to pieces . . .
By the time anyone realizes what’s happening, it is too late. A dark network of hackers has infiltrated the computers of the U.S. military, unleashing chaos across the globe. U.S. missiles strike the wrong targets. Defense systems fail. Power grids shut down. Within hours, America’s enemies move in. Russian tanks plow through northern Europe. Iranian troops invade Iraq. North Korea destroys Seoul and fires missiles at Japan.
Phase 1 of ComWar is complete.
Enter Jake Mahegan and his team. Their mission: locate the nerve center of ComWar—aka Computer Optimized Warfare—and shut down the operation through any means necessary. There are three ComWar headquarters, each hidden deep underground in Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Each contains a human biometric nuclear key that the team must capture to shut down the imminent nuclear strikes. Splitting up the team is Mahegan’s only chance to prevent the next wave of cyber attacks. But even that won’t stop the sleeper cell agents—here in the United States . . .
When Phase 2 ends, World War III begins.
“Tata’s books are absolute rollercoaster rides . . . he is in the top tier of thriller writers working today.”
—Mark Greaney, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Tom Clancy Full Force and Effect
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In Tata's rousing fifth Jake Mahegan novel (after 2017's Direct Fire), Ian Gorham, the genius founder of Manaslu, Inc., which dominates the "social media, retail distribution, and advertising marketplace," plans to take over the world by starting WWIII and nuking the U.S. into oblivion. Gorham, aided by sidekick/bodyguard Dax Stasovich and brilliant code-writer hacker Shayne, kicks off the war by killing North Korea's leader, goading the U.S. Army into an artillery battle with the Russians in Europe, and lobbing a nuke into downtown Tokyo. Meanwhile, Jake is spending quality time on a North Carolina island with girlfriend Army Ranger Cassie Bagwell when they're called back to duty to try and make sense of the mayhem that's erupting around the world. Tata excels at jet-fueled action and scenes in which the principals discuss fascinating global war strategy, but many military thriller fans will wish that he devoted less space to Jake's romance with Cassie and more to what Jake does best: figuring out how to kill bad guys.

Love the Mehagen Collection
I found AJ’s books and read Beige first and then went backwards reading 3 Minutes to Midnight, Foreign & Domestic and then threat series and then back to this one. I loved it and will read Double Crossfire which keeps me on track with the saga. Each book builds on each other and brings you closer to the characters. The books series would make excellent movies. What more does one need to know ? Take the chance and download the first and read 3 chapters for free to see if you like AJ’s writing style and flair for the dramatic. For me it is a no brainer !!!!
