“Facing Your Giants”
If not for this book, I do now understand how much I have missed out of my giants against my life of the quits to conquer the opposition and fighting for the opportunities that need to be growing in His plans and the second half of the book is teaching us to look at how people in the Bible did for themselves and their lives of struggle and success. I give this book a very high-recommended to a friend who needs to give a big scope of this “facing the giant” to understand the context of the importance of the attacks on the godly road towards the end of the day of His coming.
Simply amazing book
Facing your Giants was the first Max Lucado book that I read after my battle with cancer. God had already given me victory but fear held me back from moving forward with my life. This book was what I needed at that time in my life and for anyone struggling with fear, disappointments, rejections, etc. Pastor Lucado is a gifted writer and speaker and his books are simple, elegant and powerful. I started underlining important sections until I realized that I was pretty much underlining the entire book, it's one of those books that you must go back and reread over and over again. Keep it on your nightstand so when your Giants wants to keep you from peace and sleep pick it up and read over it. What a blessing God has given His word and message through Pastor Lucado.
A man after Gods heart
David was a man after Gods heart but still had many issues in his life. Max's points out David's strengths and weakness and how we as Christians can learn from both.
