IN - Book 2 - the J-Bar Ranch story unravels - owner Crandall and Emma Jenkins' ranch staff's family explaining the principal relationships between the cowboys who comprise their family into a deeper analysis.
Thirty-eight year old skinny, lanky, a handsome six-foot tall 'Jimmy' was brought to the ranch by Emma when Jiimmy was twenty-three years old. Broad chested at five-foot-ten inches tall, thirty-four years old, Ed Molina, along with Jimmy, have been part of the J-Bar ranch family for the past fifteen years, paired as ranch-hand partners. Crandall's thirty-two year-old adopted son S.B. "Boss" Mallory was fourteen years old when Jimmy and Ed originally joined the ranch staff, as members of the ranch crew, watching as Crandall trained Mallory to become the ranch property's "Boss" foreman, who now runs the property and business.
Crandall brings Emma's close and dear friend's nephew into the ranch staff crew, a twenty-five year old outspoken, out and gay, "Crispin" - warning Boss Malloy, "He is different, see that he is kept safe...."
Jimmy's tenure on the ranch crew has become a maddening problem to both Ed and Boss - because of his drinking problem! They know Jim is an alcoholic dead-weight drunk cowboy who must be "saved" - where the two of them scheme to get him so drunk, Ed can take him to a cabin for him to DRY OUT!
