A Woman of Genius

Austin's autobiographical novel which describes the life of Olivia Lattimore. It begins in the fictional town of Taylorville, Ohianna, where Olivia spends her childhood and marries. Later she becomes a stage actress in Chicago and New York. Olivia struggles to maintain her commitment to her art while many of her friends and relatives expect her to marry and lead a respectable life.
