Garifuna Culture Lives!

This is a great introduction to one of the most interesting cultures in the world; the Garifuna of Belize and Honduras. Descendants of African slaves and indigenous Caribbean peoples, the Garifuna speak a language that is mostly Ameridian, with some spanish and Kriol mixed in. Many of the stories in this book introduce the reader to that language. The stories are all delightful; perfect for inquiring little minds!
