Publisher Description

This story began as my Dad lie dying is his hospital bed. He wasn’t supposed to die, he was supposed to make it.

Eventually I understood that if my Dad didn’t make it out of here alive, then there was no way that I would. I thought a lot about his life and what it meant to me. I realized that he had been much more than just "my Dad". And that caused me to explore what my life and to a great extent what life, itself, was all about.

This story reveals the difficulties that families sometimes have with healthcare, especially surgeons, it delves deeply (and emotionally) into the relationship between fathers and sons and then it slides, pretty much sideways, into a reverie of what life itself is all about.

And so the question becomes, “What would you do? What would you do if you suddenly found yourself in the middle of the “somewhat pleasant ending of the world”?”
