Spartan

The afterglow of the air war was deeply embedded in the warp and woof of the little company that swept the globe. There were many wartime characteristics to be found in the transformation from a squadron on the hunt to a company of world-class cartographers. The war was over, and the arrival of peace imposed new challenges and opportunities in the air and on the ground for surplus aircraft, job-hungry flyers and technical support teams. The well-trained veterans needed little more incentive to regenerate their wartime spirit, and return, so to speak, to the excitement of their youth. Three of them took up the challenge. They formed Spartan Air Services Limited, a company that embodied many characteristics of their military experience- skill, courage, hope, and, regrettably, a casualty list.
