This version of An Unlikely Redemption reveals the birth of Personia of Broceliande and her experiences of coming into power as a warrior & a woman, discovering that passion on a battlefield is second to the passion of love. Once Commander of an army, & mortal, she intended to retire from a life of violence so that she and Hadin could live out a respectable existence. That was before the Vampire Council enlisted their services against the Countess Lucia of Cedenia. Converted by the Council to save her life, Personia is still tortured 500 years later over Hadin's murder. Only when she encounters a woman Personia is convinced is the reincarnation of Hadin, does she begin to feel her existence has meaning again. But Lucia hasn't forgotten what happened either. Determined to settle the old vendetta between them, she has a new pawn in the old game that cost Hadin her life.
