Here are Confessional Addresses and Sermons for Days of Repentance of C.F.W. Walther, first president of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. These will seem strangest to the modern reader, since we don't do this much anymore. Is Walther's concern for faith and sanctification pietism, or is Walther actually commending a right, Biblical use of a Sacrament instituted solely for the Sanctification of the faithful, which is so missused and abused in our day Read and decide.
