Hanami

Shane Keyhart is an American novelist traveling with his editor to Japan to see the famous cherry blossoms in bloom and for inspiration to finish his novel. He is found lying in the snow with no memory of how he came to get there by a man named Teruki Gojima, who mysteriously has the same last name as Shane’s deceased Japanese lover Itsuma Gojima. Teruki offers for the two to stay with him at his library and home. Teruki, to Shane’s surprise, has a collection of novels written by Shane in his library. A trip to the hot springs with Teruki and Shane’s heart quickens. He may be falling in love but is he ready to move on? Then, Shane discovers that the library has burned down. Memories stir, Itsuma died in a fire. Now he’s stuck. Was it an accident? And where’s Teruki? Will this help him finish his novel and help him to move on? But how can he move on when the fire is almost an exact replica from the past? There’s only one common denominator but will Shane be able to put the pieces together?
