Sigrid Squid is Having a Sale

Sigrid Squid is the inhabitant of an undersea cave. Over the years, she has accumulated too much junk. Much of this has been tossed overboard from the surface, causing environmental pollution. Sigrid decides that her cave needs a long overdue spring clean. She advertises that she is having a garage sale in the newspaper and also on a sign. The finny inhabitants of the ocean turn up. These include a rock cod, a jellyfish, a parrotfish, a lobster, a shrimp and a groper. All have their own individual reasons for wanting to purchase a piece of Sigrid's junk.

The sale goes very well, and Sigrid is able to clean out her cave at last. She has made a handsome profit, and all her friends are very happy. Illustrated with cartoon drawings and humorous verse by Australian cartoonist/author Al Benge. Suitable for six to nine year olds.
