Reading the book, one gets an insight to the ways of the Witches of old, the Witches not shaped by today’s New Age movement. These were the ones who practiced their religion by candlelight as well as by the light of the moon. The views contained in the book are very honest and forthright. Essays on various religions are presented in some of the chapters with the final chapter that ties everything together. There is nothing in today’s vast range of Wiccan books that even comes close to this book. Sometimes we need to examine the way we think.
