Conversations of a Conscious Black Girl

Before reading this book I was looking for something to channel my conscious black mind. I wanted to become aware in a world that had become so blind sighted by the stigmas places upon us. I gained such insight on the origins of black behavior, why and where they originated. In reading this book I gained self-esteem within my self, gained a sense of empowerment, and the desire to educate my fellow African American mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, friend, husband, child, etc. I am constantly sharing this book with other because of the powerful message that lies within him hopes that other African Americans will encompass and grasp the same concept and gain a conscientious mind of the things around.

I enjoyed reading from a tone that felt like I was listening to a big sister! The tone of felt harsh but necessary. Very insightful read for the younger generation.

This book opened my eyes to everything I've been ignoring that's going on in the world around me. I will encourage everybody to read this book.
