Publisher Description
Commander Terex has had a terrible life. First he lost his mate, then he was taken over by an evil demon, then attacked and mutilated by the Dark Kindred, Two--enemy of his kind. He feels broken and the only thing that can make him whole again is vengeance--or so he thinks.
Elaina Thornton has a secret grief--a sister who is terminally ill with no hope of recovery. She too, feels broken inside--unable to do anything but grieve.
But then a prophesy is spoken--Elaina's healing and Terex's vengeance lie in the same direction, in the mysterious Dark Sector. Ships that fly into this part of the universe never return and yet this is where they must go.
Despite Elaina's fear, she is willing to risk anything to save her sister. Terex just wants revenge. Neither of them is looking for love but sometimes the Goddess has plans of her own. What awaits them in the Dark Sector--love or death? You'll have to read Uncharted to find out!

Uncharted BotK 18
Pretty good quest read, although was annoyed with a few things. The main f character near the end had worked with the Kindred at KHR for how long before going on this “mission”? She had been all these places working with them and did and experienced all these new things, but seemed to have learned NOTHING about the Kindred or through her D/s relationship with ST. For a supposedly smart lady, she couldn't or wouldn't think outside of her little box when she got home until her sister reminder her to look for possibilities. Is that supposed to be part of her submissive character or did she somehow buy into the programming on the Nixian planet? Where is the trust they built together?
The rest of the story was a fun read, nor was I offended by the D\s relationship of the two main characters. This episode didn't seem quite up to her usual standards somehow. Would have liked if she had fleshed out the world-building of the planet's people better, maybe with more informants/investigation to show us the people's plight (both the stealth views of males and females) instead of just the bad-guy speech in the baths and the attack? Although the attack was a vivid portrayal of the regime and their values. I was hoping for the unveiling of the closet Kindred-leaning faction like what she did in the Augmented story to give the two main characters hope that there were at least some in the Nixian society that wanted change and that not all the men on the planet agreed with the ruler.
I guess what I was trying to express is that the story seemed unbalanced. Maybe that was the point? Yes, we have seen Commander T in previous books, but only in passing or when he was being used as a host-tool by some other villain. The books of this series are supposed to be stories that can be read out of sequence, but is better if in order. To make up for that, there is a resume of his woes, a telling. Also a big frustration— with the big question of his first name, WHY isn't it used more often, even if it is just between the couple (like when they were making love at least)? Is this some kind of distancing technique? He says he doesn’t like being called Master, so why not have her use his first name in private, especially after they have claimed each other?
++This is my voluntary feed back of a reviewer copy.
BDSM warning
They really should put a warning in these kind of books for those of us who don't want to read about women who like misogyny and BDSM.
Great Series
Another enjoyable and entertaining read from Brides of Kindred. I'm super excited that Commander Terex's finally got his story told, he definitely got the bad end of the stick so it was good that he finally got a break from all the bad things that happen to him. In this book we see Terex struggle to overcome the guilt he carries. Elaina was interesting heroine she was the perfect match for Terex there chemistry was smoking hot she was feisty, sassy, and could be submissive if need it. She also stood her ground if she felt she had to which made her perfect. Overall a good read I'm so glad that Terex finally got the HEA he deserved. I volunteered to read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in anyway.
