Material Missing
Bought it, opened it once. Now it gives me an error of missing material everytime. The three stars is not a reflection on the content.
Good one
Very good book for beginners, full of details on how to execute the form. But no application on how to execute each technique inside the form in fighting.
A Very Good Read
For those who are interested in traditional Wing Chun, like myself, this book is a great reference to the first full Siu Lim Tao form. It has easy to follow black and white photos of each step as well as a description of each movement down to the small details. It is very clear that the author has practiced this art for a number of years. As with most Wing Chun books, it gives a bit of history on the art also. Being that the book was written by a student of Samuel Kwok, this Wing Chun book stays true to the IP Man lineage.
The author does have a tendancy to use run-on sentances from time to time, and this book could do with a good editing for clarity in some parts, but overall, I'd call it a very helpful reference for the most important Wing Chun form.
