Publisher Description
Paul Young, author of the international bestseller, The Shack, tells a story of the incremental transformation of a man caught in the torments of his own creation, somewhere between heaven and earth.
Anthony Spencer is egotistical, proud of being a self-made business success at the peak of his game, even though the cost of winning was painfully high. A cerebral hemorrhage leaves Tony comatose in a hospital ICU. He 'awakens' to find himself in a surreal world, a 'living' landscape that mirrors dimensions of his earthly life, from the beautiful to the corrupt. It is here that he has vivid interactions with others he assumes are projections of his own subconscious, but whose directions he follows nonetheless with the possibility that they might lead to authenticity and perhaps, redemption. The adventure draws Tony into deep relational entanglements where he is able to 'see' through the literal eyes and experiences of others, but is "blind" to the consequences of hiding his personal agenda and loss that emerge to war against the processes of healing and trust. Will this unexpected coalescing of events cause Tony to examine his life and realize he built a house of cards on the poisoned grounds of a broken heart? Will he also have the courage to make a critical choice that can undo a major injustice he set in motion before falling into a coma?

Cross Roads
My name is Meghan and I have been lost for a long time. Mental Illness, Alcoholism, drug addiction and a myriad of back surgeries left me with a Spiritual Malady I never knew I had. After reading The Shack I was mesmerized by the thought of a loving God, but now, after reading CrossRoads I have been transformed. I have worked diligently and I believe with the courage and strength and the forgiveness of a Loving God that is Way to big for me to "get". His love and mercy on me are healing me and these 2 books have made a tremendous impression on me. Thank you so much for your love thru Him for writing them.
Read it!!!!
As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist as well as family therapist for almost twenty years I have been given the privileged position of setting with wonderful people going through terrible pain and suffering of body, mind, and spirit. I have also seen tremendous transformation in moments when the sacred breaks through and walls of "protection" start to crumble. Once again Mr. Young has capture that process in a powerful, moving, and hilarious fairy tale of profound truth. Read it! Share it!! And look deep inside!!! No telling who you will meet.
A Vibrant & Colorful Journey Into the Soul
If you enjoyed The Shack, you will love Cross Roads! Not because it is anything like The Shack - it is not, except for 3 important characters central to both stories. Cross Roads is written with such color and so vividly tells the story of redemption and true salvation. It's as if this novel was written in pictures. Although The Shack is unforgettable, Cross Roads is actually a better story. It is supposed to be. It, too is a page-turner. But, easier to put down and pick up where you left off. Cross Roads leaves you craving for Mr. Young's next work...
