Daniels improves on her previous outing, Lone Rider, in this solid third Montana Hamiltons contemporary. Journalists camp out at the Hamilton ranch in Beartooth, Mont., day and night in the hopes of catching a glimpse of presidential candidate and senator Buckmaster Hamilton's amnesiac ex-wife, Sarah, who was missing for years and declared dead. Freelance reporter Max Malone wants the story, and he approaches Kat, Sen. Hamilton's daughter. She reluctantly agrees to help him investigate her mother's disappearance when it becomes clear that outside forces are targeting both of them in order to bury the truth. Could Kat's mom be a member of an antigovernment terrorist group from the late 1970s, or is she an innocent victim who was used by people she thought were friends? Daniels, thankfully and significantly, advances the conspiracy story first introduced in Wild Horses and allows Max and Kat enough time to work together to make their personal connection and romance believable.

So good!!
Wow. Where do I start? I loved everything about this book! It had a great romance that grow throughout the book. There is laughter and sadness and nail biting suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I didn't want to put it down (but I have to work to keep my pets in the comfort they demand.) This is the second book I've read by Ms. Daniels the first was Lone Rider book 2 in this series and I couldn't wait to read the next book. As I said before it did not disappoint.
Buck master Hamilton is on his way to being the next president of the United States. His long lost first wife returns from the dead and all hell breaks loose. Car accidents, attempts on the lives of his daughters and possible secrets that will change everything. Max Malone takes a picture of Buck Hamilton with an unknown woman and searches out the help of Buck's daughter Kat to prove that his suspicions are right. Max Malone and Kat Hamilton are two people who should not want each other but are drawn together through a life and death plot that could take away everything they hold dear.
I'm going back to read the first book Wild Horses as soon as I can.
