Stone cold boring
I'm a fast reader and this took me weeks to read, not because it was difficult but because it was absolutely boring. The author followed a recipe - snarky female, grumpy male, hilarity ensues...or does it? It was trite and tired and not a bit funny. Predictable action and dialogue. The "big event" was just stupid and the main female made it worse by the dumbest unnecessary (wait, maybe it was to fill out the ending so it wasn't so rushed - either way still awful) dull inner monologue since another boring author went on and on about an "inner goddess". Most books make me eager to read them and find out what happened, in this book I couldn't be bothered to care nor was I eager to find out. I forced myself to finish because I'm not a quitter, but there were a lot of skipped sentences and mental "blah-blah-blahs" to make it to the end.
