Substance abuse permeates our society; it robs millions of freedom and happiness. Some “treatment centers” promise a cure from substance abuse in a matter of days, but require large amounts of money to do so. At the same time, people are meeting to stay sober all over the world without money changing hands. Alcoholprism offers an insider’s view of the hellish cycle of addiction and the way to climb out of the hole.



Addiction is a strange thing to watch; even stranger is the recovery of some alcoholics and addicts while others continue to destroy their lives. Presley Cox, a recovering alcoholic who helps others stay sober, has witnessed the recovery of people given up for lost by just about everyone in their lives.



In this poetry collection, he recounts instances of addicts regaining hope and answers questions about twelve-step recovery programs and staying sober with honesty and compassion.
