Lassoed by the Would-Be Rancher
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGallery and I am voluntarily reviewing. (I did also purchase a copy!)
I have been waiting for Shane's book. He has appeared several the Monroe books. This is his story along with Franny Clark. Franny is a widow and owner of a ranch. She cares for her 3 young sons and her grandmother-in-law, Gertie. The ranch supplies bulls to the rodeo circuit. Lately though, the bulls haven't been "rank" enough. The buyer will personally come and bring some riders to test out her stock for this year. The stock isn't want it used to be since her husband died from a feral bull two years ago. She just may lose the ranch. She needs to catch some of the feral bulls to keep her ranch going.
Shane along with eleven other grandchildren were fired from the Monroe family businesses per their grandfather, Harlan's will. If they weren't fired, then his children wouldn't inherit the millions. Of course the parents fired all 12 of the grandchildren. But Harlan owned a town and left it to the grandchildren. Shane is trying to keep the little town going so he can prove himself worthy of his former CEO title.
Throw in some trouble at Franny's ranch, trouble with the kids, feral bulls, the legend of Mike Moody's gold and you have a story that will enthrall you.
This is a great story. I loved the multiple person POV. It helps to set the stage for the next book as well. This is a sweet, clean romance that I would recommend to anyone.
