Prepare yourselves to be spellbound from start to finish. In my opinion, this is Blackburn at her best!

The intricate plot encompasses Dr. Ivy Collins, founder, and CEO of Hedera, Inc., who is leading her company to begin clinical trials on their cutting-edge prosthetic. This is important enough that groups including the government as well as medical entities and others are taking notice and that means she is an open target. When the sabotage comes, it is swift and close to deadly. Blackburn then introduces U.S. Secret Service Agent Gil Dixon into the story to do an investigation without knowing he is walking straight into what may well turn into the most complex case he has ever participated in. One of the main reasons is Ivy is the girl he has been in love with since he was just a little boy. She was his first kiss. Then as high school sweethearts, he knew their love was real and one day they would be together for eternity. They were always best friends until the incident happened that changed their lives forever and now it has been fifteen years since he has seen her. What will they do about that situation amid the most intense danger either of them has ever faced?

Blackburn gives readers spectacular main and supporting characters who are realistic, engaging, dynamic, and the type of people you would want to be friends with. They encourage, support, challenge, pray for, love, as well as put their lives on the line for each other. The villains are cold-hearted, calculated, and cunning. This story demonstrates family dynamics (good and bad), sins of the past, revenge, greed and the power of love and forgiveness.
