They want him dead and her enslaved . . .
Texas . . . the heart of a territory that stretches from the golden deserts of New Mexico to the turquoise shores of the Florida Keys. It's big, it's rich, and it's the next battleground for some of the most dangerous vampires in the world.
Christian Duvall . . . charismatic and powerful, and determined to claim the South as his own. But with old enemies and new fighting to stop him, victory suddenly takes on a brutal, and far more treacherous, edge. Because what one of his enemies wants more than anything else already belongs to Christian . . . and her name is Natalie.
Natalie Vivant Gaudet . . . brilliant and lovely, a strong Southern woman who can unravel the most intricate financial schemes designed to swindle and steal. She loves her complex job and the simplicity of her life. And then she meets Christian. He's beautiful, he's complicated, and she'll fight to keep him alive.
With allies trying to kill him, and enemies readying a horde of zombie vampires to roll over all of Texas, it will take every shred of Christian's power and Natalie's determination to win this war and give North America a brand new Lord of the South.
D. B. Reynolds is the RT and EPIC Award-Winning author of the Vampires in America series of paranormal romance, and an Emmy-nominated television sound editor. She lives in a flammable canyon near Los Angeles, and when she's not writing her own books, she can usually be found reading someone else's.

Loved Christian
I do enjoy these light-hearted Lords. With Christian, you really see his heart. Marc, his heart, his first child, is so fun. I love their relationship. Very different from Raphael and his children. Vincent’s connection with his child is very similar, but I really enjoyed Christian and Marc. Christian and Natalie were a great couple. The accountant and the Lord. Natalie is smart, strong and confident. Love that about her. She did over think a lot, but I guess that comes with over thinking in her work as a forensic accountant. She was definitely over protected by the men in her family, but they also taught her a few things that came in handy. As a couple, completely opposite. She was more serious than Christian. He’s very carefree. Love him. I had a couple of unanswered questions, but definitely loved the story. My only black mark was Christian telling Natalie, if she wanted, she could sleep with him and Marc. I did not like that. Not much of a sharer myself. Now if it’s just a fling, I get that, but with someone you want permanently in your life, not so much. Jaclyn was surprising. She was supposed to be really strong, but I didn’t see it. She was taken be surprise at Christian’s house. My concern would have been, how did they find them, not have her guard down. Anthony was just as weak as expected. I loved the other Lords written into the story. I expected Raphael, but enjoyed reading a little Duncan. And Lucas is always fun. Highly recommend.
