1/2 the book
This was an interesting read. There is a lot of evidence that Africans were brought over to Europe and yet not a lot of information about how they fared in the social world. This book was a good introduction to how people of color were regarded during the 17th and 18th century in Europe.
However the book was very wordy a lot of time spent on scenes that could’ve been cut in half. I would read the other two books though.
