There’s nothing normal about Zenith. But, according to her, most people aren’t normal. They are simply good at acting. And she knows this from firsthand experience for Zenith is a Djinni with unique powers. Not the Barbara Eden, fold your arms, blink your eyes goof-ball, she’s heard about and scoffs at, but the real deal. Zenith comes from a race that existed two thousand years before humans and once occupied the planet. They intend to get it back.
Many years ago, Zenith got a bit overzealous for her own good and the leader of her clan had her exiled, locked away in a raw ruby for all eternity. Fortunately, some toothless, smelly gem hunter hacking away in a mine set her free by accident. Since all Djinn consist of plasma, all she left after escaping the mine was a bloody old man. She never looked back and knew she’d do all in her power to keep from being imprisoned again. To ensure her freedom, Zenith had to collect enough energy daily to remain in human form and still preserve her powers.

Luck and happenstance takes her to New Orleans, a city that suited her well. She also discovered that the greatest and purest form of energy available was all that a human exuded when they had sex. To harness this power, Zenith opens an undercover brothel. There she recruits other Djinn, and due to their unique powers Zenith is not only able to acquire high-end clientele she has a hard time ridding herself of them. For you see, Zenith knows what each man and/or woman truly wants when they enter her establishment. And to give a human something they whole-heartedly desire sexually without them even having to put it into words is---to the human---magical.

What appears to be too good to be true for Zenith, however, is. Local police suspect what she’s doing, especially one zealous detective. And if he did not cause her enough worry, Jaharad did. One of the most powerful Djinni in the universe, discovers her whereabouts and succumbing to him means giving up her freedom, the sex she adores, and returning to her full Djinn state. It means surrendering her soul. And she refuses to let that happen—under any circumstance.
