Great read for 4 year olds who have mastered the iPad

I bought this book (and several other books) by Alona Frankel. I first bought Once Upon a Potty in hardcover for my first grandson. He is a young boy now so he gave that book to his 4 year old twin brothers who also love it. So I bought Once Upon a Bird as an iBook for the 4 year olds who read it on their father's iPad. They're enthralled with this latest release of another book in the Once Upon series. They actually argue over who gets to read it next. It's not only a tender and great teaching book, but in combination with the iPad is a true winner for my littlest ones. It's perfect for them. I enjoyed reading it to them too. They ask a lot of questions. I recommend this to anyone with small children.

    Unique and Special

Such a serious topic handled with so much care and love. The wise, talented writer and illustrator triumphs again with this book! I have never seen another picturebook dealing so well with the sensitive, important milestones of mourning and loss alongside the Joy of life. And it is definitely "for all ages": children, teens, adults, older caregivers..
