Publisher Description

Becoming king of a world where no sun exists is never simple, even after 3 years of proving yourself as a worthy candidate. Since the night Ruiz left to begin his journey like his brother before him, he vows to prove himself a worthy candidate, in order to obtain said 'holy grail' of Noches itself by earning the title: Rey de Noches.

Even when receiving the strangest task: Prevent Chaos that will come to Noches. Seems like a mockery to Ruiz, although he begins to learn the truth as the events unfold. Discovery of these new 'beings', coming face to face with the world's most wanted man, the Moon goddess Luna ending relations with Hispania and the nations that succeeded from it, a current 20 year inactive King of Noches, leads Ruiz into a series of events threatening the existence of magic itself.

Ruiz soon learns the truth of what happened to his brother not only changing his life, but to his belief over his life's purpose if he's to become the most important being in Noches, or nothing but a sacrifice.

Pretty interesting

I see this book becoming something more than just a book. You may think it's a Harry Potter knock off, but it's something very imaginative. The writing is pretty good for his first book. Hopefully within time, his writing can be a little more of a eye catcher. The cover of the book may look fan made, but the story itself is very impressive. I can't wait to read the sequel (whenever that comes out)

Not bad for a first book by him

Frankly, I was a bit into this book when I saw this being promoted at a recent convention and I am one to say that this was likable; the story was interesting and the settings were really something. But while I am use to high quality writing from older more experienced writers, this writer is very decent for his first book although he will improve over time to my higher expectations. I expect this in his sequel from what he mentioned as his story attracted my attention. AND I will be harder to please ;)

Entertaining fantasy story

Friend told me about this book and I loved it. I wished that it was in paperback format but since I had a iPad, I made a expection.

Overall, the plot keeps you reading and lots of latin american/european reference involved. I thought that it was interesting that a Che Guevara-like character was added. I am curious (if there's a sequel) on how he'll continue referencing real life historical figures/cultures in 'proper order' or mix it up a bit and rearrange history in fantasy form. I did however wanted to see a map of the world but perhaps if he gets popular he'll show it in a sequel.

Really recommend reading this as it's diffrerent and unique. Fairy cheap too! =-)
