The Book of 1 Ariel

by Aaron Quincy

This book is available for download on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iBooks and on your computer with iTunes. Books must be read on an iOS device.

Description

Finding out she is to be an angel, Ariel sets out to be the best angel she can possibly be. Ariel wants to be perfect. Besides, doesn't being an angel require perfection? She is soon tasked with watching over an eight-year-old girl named Natalie - a task that turns out to be more complex than she ever imagined. Every decision Ariel makes can alter the course of Natalie's life. The lines between what is right and what is wrong as well as what is just and what is unjust blur. And, throughout it all, there is one question Ariel battles with all of her being: What happens if she doesn't succeed? The Book of 1 Ariel uniquely captures an angel's hopes and dreams as well as her doubts and fears. It is a thrilling, page-turner, one that reveals as much about the afterlife as it does about the very things that make us human.

Customer Reviews

Engaging & captivating -- a must read!

The Book 1 of Ariel by Aaron Quincy is an engaging and heartwarming story about a young girl's transformation into an Angel in the afterlife. There were times I did not want to stop reading, needing to know what would happen next. There were times I found myself anticipating the worst and hoping for the best when it comes to the consequences of decisions made in the book, and being unable to put it down until I knew what would happen. There were times when I just couldn't wait to find out more, feeling just as curious and confused as the protagonist, Ariel (the Angel-in-Training). That's what I enjoyed about the book, not only were the characters engaging and I felt invested in their successes and failures, but knowledge of what was going on or happening was revealed to the audience at the same time it was revealed to the main character, which meant we were truly getting to see the story through her eyes. While the author's beautifully written depiction of Heaven and the afterlife might be vastly different than your own, if you can suspend your personal beliefs and get caught up in the story, you'll grow to love his characters and, like me, feel anxious to find out more.

The Book of 1 Ariel

Great story, the writing is brilliant. I found this to be a very refreshing take on Death and Heaven. I would highly recommend this book for Tweens and Teens struggling with the loss of a friend or loved one. It outlines very believable possibilities of life after death based on the Christian religion. I look forward to the sequel. Two Thumbs UP.
