Publisher Description
Alison Sudol has released three albums as A Fine Frenzy, and sold over 650,000 albums worldwide since 2007. Her newest album, Pines, comes to life in The Story of Pines. Featuring read-along narration by Alison Sudol (the author), interactive animations, and charming artwork by illustrator Jen Lobo, The Story of Pines is an enchanting experience for adults and children alike. "The record told a great deal of the story," explains Sudol, "but the songs could only cover so much with fullness, depth and detail. I found myself wanting to explain much more than I could possibly fit on to a single album." Lyrics and music samples from the Pines album are mixed throughout, expanding the sense of discovery found in this Enhanced and Interactive book.

An Angel Among Us
Alison's music speaks volumes of her heart, mind and spirit; but this book; Quite possibly the most adorable thing i've ever seen. Such a cute...moving story. With Alison reading it you can hear how much she loves what she's doing. Her different voices for different characters just made me fall deeper in love with her. Very quick and easy read/listen. If you plan on picking up Pines, ya gotta pick this up too. It's one of a kind.
Beautiful book set to music with amazing illustrations!
I love Alison from A Fine Frenzy. I play her music when I'm painting, or when I'm sad, even when I'm looking for something soothing before going to bed. Day doesn't go by without me listening to at least one song by her. Her music creates these beautiful imagery, so naturally a book would be the next step. I was already really enjoying her third album but with the addition of the book, it added another dimension to the experience. Made me rethink each song. The illustrations in the book are amazing and hopefully I can get her non electronic book so I can read it to my children. I hope she continues to create music and more books. She is so gifted!!!
Brilliant
One of the most emotional stories I've ever heard in my life. Ive always loved her music, but this is just outstanding! I can not recommend this book anymore, it is a must read (listen). It should be mandatory :-) And if you shed no tears...you are not human.
