Description

Beowulf, the epic poem that follows Beowulf as he battles Grendel, Grendel's Mother, and later becomes king. Written between the 8th and 11th centuries, Beowulf is one of the most important works of Anglo-Saxon literature. This work is a part of the Lit2Go collection, a collaboration between the Florida Department of Education and the University of South Florida College of Education. Lit2Go is dedicated to supporting literacy teaching and learning by providing access to historically and culturally significant literature in K-12 schools.

Customer Reviews

Free but is it worth it?

One up side, this is a free recording of Beowulf. Many downsides though. The speaker speaks as fast as he can like its a chore. There an intro "translated by...." and an outro "narrated by..." for every chapter. Keep in mind the chapters are only 3-4 minutes long. And for some reason it doesn't advance to the next chapter automatically. Not sure if theres any real savings here.

Buy AudioBooks?? - Or- GET THEM FREE HERE

Wow! This is so good I could literally kiss my Ipod earphones as they sensuously wrap around my neck while Lit2Go reads me audiobooks that are free. They are dramatized by good readers and unabridged. I love classics.I have been paying hundreds of dollars for these same audio books...
If you still insist on paying 30 dollars for an audiobook Classic just go to ITunes and click the buy button for any similar quality dramatized reading. However Lit2Go also gives you the transcripts for free also. Itunes does not. However for can still pay 300 dollars and just buy a Kindle. Its the same thing. But that way you can get rid of your cash.

Sadly, there is a cath to Lit2Go though. Because of them now I have hundreds of extra dollars just laying around. I have no idea what to do with all this cash. I have been covering my bed with 20 dollar bills and just rolling around in it naked - and laughing in a manner befitting some evil genius like Mr. Burns on the Simpsons.
Also I can't really use a text reader--I have no need for a Kindle to see the text transcript and hear it read to me. Lit2Go and the transcript are the same darn thing.

So you get free books. And education.
>>But you get screwed in the end --as you will be holding lots of extra money in your hand.
Still I think that Lit2Go people are not bad people entirely. They just don't have a good ruthless, price gouging buisness sense. They are sort of doing the opposite of what Capitalism is supposed to do.
Next Lit2Go will probably just start sending me cash money in the mail directly.

What are you going to do? That's Life.
Whining about extra money is so petty when life is short. Live you life. Get audiobooks. And just bite your hand and NOT PAY.
:)
NOTE: I suggest rolling around naked in money only for those rich people 21 and older. Stay in school minors. Read with your ears. Oh and Don't eat lead paint.
