"Inside Islam: Dialogues and Debates" (http://insideislam.wisc.edu/) is a new media collaboration between the Here on Earth show of Wisconsin Public Radio and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. By illuminating underrepresented or neglected cultural, intellectual, and political aspects of Islam and Muslims, "Inside Islam" is designed to spark conversation and interaction about Islam, and to spotlight the diversity of dialogues and debates within Islam as well as with other religions and communities.

A Truly Excellent Series
As I am not a Muslim, I have found this series to be delightfully informative. The episode about the Sunni/Shia split in Islam was particularly informative for while I had long heard this terms, I really had no idea what they meant. I thoroughly recommend this everyone who wishes to become more educated about Islam in all of it's various aspects.
Detailed and enlightening
When I was a kid, I was taught only about the Quran and doing Sunna. Nobody ever really taught me the history or the politics, which is important because without that, you are left with the wrong viewpoint on religion. We may not want to admit it, but those are crucial to understanding the foundations of a religion, something people can't just get from memorizing dogma.
