Description
In this course, Dr. Nash explores the relationship between Modern and Post-Modern philosophy. This is done through an examination of the thought of key philosophers, such as Immanuel Kant, G.W.F. Hegel, Soren Kierkegaard, Karl Marx, and Friedrich Nietzsche, and an exploration of the major movements in this period, including Naturalism, Romanticism, Nihilism, Existentialism, and Process Theology. In addition, Dr. Nash offers a critical analysis of the early 20th century liberal Protestant movement and the Evangelical response, particularly that of J. Gresham Machen.

Ad hominem attacks disguised as philosophy
As a theology student interested in supplementing my earlier philosophical studies during undergrad, I find the professor more interested in highlighting the biographical failings of the philosophers than dealing with their actual material. It's almost as if he didn't think his students could discern contradictions or incompatibilities with the philosophers' writings & the Christian faith, without prefacing his lectures with "why these guys should be disregarded."
Anti-Intellectual Drivel
This lecture series was a complete disappointment. As has been pointed out by other reviewers, the professor seems more intent on pointing out the personal flaws of the philosophers in question than to delve into their thoughts, which are more fecund than he'd care to recognize.
Extreme right-wing biases abound. What a disgrace to the field of philosophy.
Vapid, Vacuous, Vulgar.
Having only listened to the episode on Ayn Rand, I have to agree with the previous reviewer. Nash wastes his time railing against his subjects, as opposed to discussing the elements of their philosophies. An unpleasant listen, and a useless one.
