Description
The heart of the N-YHS public program activity is the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Distinguished Speakers Series. Through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz the Historical Society has been able to bring a wide array of extraordinary lectures and dynamic conversations to New York’s Upper West Side. Speakers are attracted by our classic auditorium, by the relevance of their work to our mission, and by the knowledge that they will be presenting to an intelligent, passionate and articulate audience. Our broad range of programs feature topics in history and current affairs, highlights from current exhibitions, and lively musical events.
